Rwanda: Cooperative Strengthening project

Three unions, of 35 loan- and credit coops, and three autonomous coops are participating in a Cooperative Strengthening project.
A first step was the design of a simplified chart of accounts for the rural coops and the introduction of a standardised book keeping system with 27 forms. Also a national project co-ordinator has been hired (on contract of AMIR) for a period of 28 months. Contact Frank Bakx at the Terrafina fieldpost in Kigali.
